Have you ever felt scared, because of something you saw or heard? All humans get scared at one time or another. But,  Psalms 4:8 (KJV) says “ I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. ” This shows that King David definitely had moments when he was afraid. 

He had a lot of circumstances in his life where he did not know what the outcome would be. Such as, when his own son Absalom rebelled and threatened to take the throne. He had a lot of things to make him scared (including fighting off a bear, lion and a giant in his childhood), but he managed to trust in God to take care of him and his people. Whenever you feel afraid, trust in God to keep you safe just like King David did.
