The Willow and the Oak Tree

Hello Reader,

Earlier this week, my Dad, told us the story of the Willow Tree and the Oak-tree. In the story, a Willow tree wondered why God made him so small, and the oak-tree next to him was so big. He was jealous of the oak tree and wanted to be as big as the oak tree. One day, there was a terrible snowstorm and the wind was howling and the willow tree’s branches were shaking in the wind. After it stopped snowing, the willow tree’s eyes were peeking out of the snow. It looked around, and the willow tree realized that the oak tree wasn’t there. Then, the willow tree saw that the oak tree was chopped into tiny little pieces, and was in a wagon. When the willow tree saw what happened to the oak tree it was so glad to be a willow tree. To me, the moral of the story is to be grateful for who you are, no matter if you are big or small. Being grateful for who you are can help you realize just how special you are, to God and to other people.
