I enjoyed this non-fiction book, because it provides information on The Declaration of Independence. In this book there are descriptions about The Boston Tea Party, slavery, famous people that helped the cause of The Declaration of Independence, and some other things. I rated this book 5 out of 5, because I loved how Russel Freedman presents information on the topic. I also loved the photos that were chosen by Freedman, they painted a very vivid image of what was being talked about. I recommend this book for ages 9-12, because of the terms that are used. In my opinion, children under the age of nine might not be able to understand what is being said.
