Hello Reader,
Yesterday, my family and I went to one of our local nature preserves. When we got there, my dad pointed out a tree that had toppled over into the river. My attention was especially drawn to the tree because it was huge and I couldn’t imagine how it toppled over. My dad explained that the tree that fell, must have fallen during a storm, that ripped out the grass around that tree. The grass that was there before the storm, held the tree in place.
When the storm hit, the tree didn’t have the grass to support it, and then the tree got too heavy for its roots and eventually toppled over. It made me think, that a thing such as mighty oak trees and all these big trees depend on a thing as tiny as a blade of grass. It goes to show that you don’t have to be big to do big things. You can be tiny and still help hold the world together. You can make a difference!
