Dear Reader,

In our family devotions this week we are learning about the influences of music. Listening to the right kind of music sets a peaceful atmosphere, welcomes the Holy Spirit, and pleases the Lord. On the other hand, listening to worldly music is kind of like a cigarette. Maybe, the first time you hear it you tune it out. But over time, when you listen to it you get addicted and you can’t stop.

When you listen to worldly music, it shoos the Holy Spirit away. It displeases God, and you get farther away from God. Listening to the wrong type of music, can send your soul to Hell. Next time, when you are tempted to listen to wrong music, think about the consequences.
