What does purpose mean to you? The Bible says “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.”(NIV Ecclesiastes 12:13 ) The Bible says that the whole purpose of one’s life is to serve God. If our purpose in life is to serve God, then why do we have so many people around us who don’t serve God?

Let me explain it this way. Imagine we are all floating around in space, and the Earth is spread out before us. We can place ourselves wherever you want but you can’t change where you are. You have to stay wherever you choose. There are so many places and paths you can choose from but you can only choose one path. This is like life you can choose to go this way or that way but in the end, your life is purposeless unless you are serving God. The purpose of life is to serve God. At the end of your life, you will have to give account to God for what you did with your life. You will want to be able to say, “Lord I used the talents that you gave me to serve you in life.”
