Dear Reader,
During our devotions this week one of the topics that my dad talked about was chaos. To help us better understand what he meant, my siblings and I went outside and my dad gave us some instructions. My siblings and I were supposed to throw some balls at the person across from us whenever my dad said “Go!” My brothers and I tried very hardest to catch every ball that was thrown at us, but it was not possible. After we finished the activity and went indoors, my dad explained to us that in the directions that he gave us he never told us to catch all the balls that we had thrown to each other.
He said that it is a human tendency to try to catch everything that is thrown to us. This also applies to life as well, as humans we try to “catch” everything that life throws our way. That’s why focusing on 1 issue/task is important. Focusing helps to finish or do something in an easier way. To end our devotion lesson, my dad explained that when you focus a task or issue becomes easier.
