Stress Management

Hello Reader,

In this week’s family devotions our topic is how to deal with stress. Everyone deals with stress. Actually, our body is made to handle stress, but not in large chunks. We are supposed to handle stress in little amounts, but that is not what usually happens. Usually what happens is your body deals with stress constantly. When there is a emergency our bodies turn into survival mode and our heart pumps faster sending blood to the parts of your body that needs it the most. Being stressed for a huge amount of time is not very healthy for your body and can eventually make you sick.

Imagine this happening for decades to a person. This is why Jesus said “And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” (Mark 6:31 New King James Version) When Jesus was saying this he meant to relax. As a break from stress you can find a hobby to do. Or, do something different than what you usually do. When you do this you take care of your body, and you will be happier.
