Dear Reader,
Have you ever thought that plants and perseverance have something in common? Plants and perseverance actually have a lot of things in common. For an example let’s look at rose bushes. Roses have a lot of perseverance, year by year they get bitten down by bugs and the bugs eat holes in the rose leaves. Every year, the roses overcome the bugs, the holes, and all the trials, and they bloom. If the roses were to look at itself it would probably cry and think that it’s ugly. But what makes the rose most beautiful is that is overcomes the trials and blooms again every year.
I would like to compare us to roses. Sometimes we may cry out to God and ask him to take all the trials away, but God wants us to overcome the trials victoriously. We might look at ourselves in the mirror and think that we are spiritually ugly, but to God we are the most pleasing when we overcome. Next time you feel like giving up remember the roses and how they persevere.
