In Philippians 4:4 the scripture says “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4 King James Bible). What exactly does rejoicing in the Lord mean? Rejoicing in the Lord means just what it suggests rejoicing in the Lord.

Rejoicing in the Lord means that no matter what happens we are happy in God. God wants us to rejoice and be happy. Psalms 118: 24 says “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” God places some much emphasis on rejoicing and joy, because he wants us to rejoice in him. Next time you feel discouraged or sad, remember these scriptures and remember how much God wants you to rejoice in him.
