Dear Reader,

As the year comes to a close, some people tend to say “Oh I’ll make this year a better year” or “This year I’ll do better”. While making resolutions is something good to do, we shouldn’t be looking to future years to make us better people. We should be looking to Jesus to make us new again.

2 Corinthians states, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (New International Version)This means that the old you is gone when you are in Jesus. You are transformed and made new. Instead of relying on yourself to be a better person, the Jesus that is in you is transforming you. The old creation is gone and the new creation is here. That is much better than relying on yourself to be transformed.
