Habits

Dear Reader,

For one of our family’s devotions, my dad did a study on habits. What exactly are habits? Habits are something one continually does. An example of a good habit could be reading your Bible and praying every day. Or visiting unholy sites every day. My dad gave us an assignment, to make a list of good habits, neutral habits (habits that are neither good or bad), and bad habits. The next day, we brought our lists of habits to devotions. We shared our habits, and then moved on. Forming good habits are important, because forming good habits pleases God. Making the choice to read your Bible and pray first, before texting your friends as soon as you climb out of bed, shows God that you care more about him then your phone. As you can see, forming good habits are very important.
