Compromising

Dear Reader,

For devotions my dad took the theme of compromising. He said that sometimes leaders don’t always get what they want. He referenced where Jesus was coming into Capernaum, and He had to pay the tax collector. Later on, Jesus told Peter to go by the lake and when he did, there would be a coin in the fish’s mouth. Peter did as Jesus told him, and he got the fish with the coin. My dad said because of Jesus’ attitude a miracle occurred. Jesus could have turned around and easily had his angels do something to the man. Instead, he compromised and paid the tax collector. I think that if Jesus could compromise, how much more can we.
